Program Implementation
Keys for Success: Incentives for both staff and clients , Fulton County acknowledges and rewards high-performing case workers monthly under the Right Work, Right Way philosophy. In addition, when a customer gets a job, Fulton County provides the following:
- Work support payments of $200 for the first six months of employment, decreasing to $100 for the next six months of employment, running for 1 year only in the 48 months of TANF lifetime limit. Work Support Program participants are assigned to a job coach for tracking, monitoring, and mentoring services. The job coach tracks participants for 1 year, and is responsible for assisting the family with the transition from TANF to employment, and mentoring the family in removing barriers, overcoming challenges, maintaining employment, obtaining GEDs, and gaining promotions.
- Transitional Food Stamp Program for any customer who gains employment and would still be eligible for ongoing Food Stamps. The previous Food Stamp allotment is frozen for the first 5 months of employment as an incentive and support to the family.
- Child care for six months to 1 year.
