  1. We will receive your TA Request, and review it jointly with Administration for Children and Families. We consider the following:

    • How likely the TA Request will move TANF participants from welfare to work self-sufficiency, and family stability.

    • Relationship of TA Request to TANF priorities such as:

      • ​Providing assistance to needy families so that children may be care for in their own homes, or in the homes of relatives;

      • Ending dependence of needy parents on government benefits by promoting job preparation, work, and marriage;

      • Preventing and reduce the incidence of out-of-wedlock pregnancies and establish annual, numerical goals for preventing and reducing the incidence of these pregnancies, and;

      • Encouraging the formation and maintenance of two-parent families.

    • ​The degree to which the request fosters an information exchange among States, counties, and communities.

    • The extent to which the request may have value for other States or programs.

    •  The cost-effectiveness of the requested technical assistance.

  2. ​Once your TA Request is received, you will be contacted by the Peer TA Network within three business days to discuss next steps.
