Refugee Health Technical Assistance Center (RHTAC)

Coordinated by the Refugee and Immigrant Health Program of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, the Refugee Health Technical Assistance Center (RHTAC) serves as a source of tools, information, and support for health and mental health providers responding to the needs of refugees in resettlement. Supported by the Federal Office of Refugee Resettlement, the RHTAC is comprised of five organizations nationally recognized for their expertise in refugee health issues: the Bellevue/NYU Program for Survivors of Torture; the Cultural Orientation Resource Center at the Center for Applied Linguistics; Boston Children’s Hospital Center for Refugee Trauma and Resilience; Sauti Yetu Center for African Women; and the John Snow Research & Training Institute.
