      Improving Supports for Parents of Young Children: State-Level Initiatives
Many States are currently working to increase support services to improve the health and development of young children. From the National Center for Children in Poverty, this issue brief offers information, opportunities, and challenges that States face when developing policy initiatives to better serve their families. Authors highlight research on how parenting can influence child outcomes, provide an overview of initiatives in four States, and provide recommendations for State policymakers and program developers when implementing programs to support families with young children.
