A representative from the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services would like to know which states are providing vehicle insurance to clients and what criteria do they use? What about high risk insurance services?

Do any States use the IV-D Program as the single portal of entry for child support services?

Are any States providing payments or provisions to encourage clients to remain employed?

How are States defining "hardship" for the purposes of exemption clients from or extending TANF benefits beyond the State time limit?

Do any States provide bonuses to county or local agencies as a reward for successful program outcomes? If so, provide details on the purpose of the bonus and the types of agencies that are eligible to receive it.

What types of programs/services are States providing to people with incomes up to 200% of the poverty level? Please provide the eligibility and income standards, outreach strategies, and necessary contact information.

Are any States or organizations using the Department of Labor's Welfare to Work (WtW) funding to enroll eligible participants as AmeriCorps members? If so, does AmeriCorps placement count as a WtW placement or as a training program?

What can be done to accelerate job seeking and retention for the population who are rapidly approaching the time limit but appear to have no interest in going to work? What communication tools have proved useful in getting the information about benefit exhaustion across? What messages have worked and how and by whom were they delivered?

What types of incentive awards are States currently using to reward TANF participants for completing various milestones of work and training activities? What experiences have States had with offering such incentives?

What is the status of aliens in the TANF program? Are there any provisions to serve illegal aliens?
