Alabama Healthy Marriage and Relationship Education

The Alabama Healthy Marriage and Relationship Education Initiative (AHMREI) offers free relationship education classes and online resources for adults, couples, and youth across Alabama. Its materials cover practical skills such as communication, conflict resolution, co-parenting, managing stress, and building healthy relationships. Through a partnership involving Auburn University, Family Resource Centers, and community agencies, the initiative makes these resources available to communities across the state. Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) practitioners can share these free materials with participants to help build communication, problem-solving, and relationship skills that support family well-being. These skills may also have value in the workplace, where effective communication and managing conflict can contribute to positive working relationships and employment success.
