Keep the “We” in WIOA

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) brings workforce programs and partners together to help people prepare for and find employment. The National Association of Workforce Development Professionals will host a webinar on September 24, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. ET to explore the importance of collaboration and shared responsibility across the workforce system, including partnerships that make services more effective for job seekers.

For Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) practitioners, this can help frame conversations about how stronger relationships with workforce boards, career centers, employers, and other partners can make referrals more meaningful. Understanding how workforce partnerships can help TANF practitioners better support their participants as they build skills, access services, and move toward quality employment.
